Canal Boat Jezebel II - Construction Update

This page may take a moment to  load...

Canalboater's Canal Boat Project, Jezebel II.

Jezebel II is a 58' x16' x 30" cold moulded composite canal boat being built along the lines of the Dutch Style boats in use today. I've been working on this boat just over 9 years. I started with a clean sheet of paper and spent over a year on design and looking for a place to build. As of this month I have over 14,000 man hours in the construction. The boat weighs just over 34,000pounds. Estimated time to complete is about 2 years.

  2. I believe Don plans to stick to the intercoastal waterways. They will be retired, and in no rush. She should be pretty reasonable to scoot around...

  3. Kruez is correct, we plan to spend all our time on the rivers, lakes and the canal systems in the U.S. and Canada. Bigggggg'um, yes, maybe to big. Had I cut 10' off I may have been done by now. Oh well, to late now, OR IS IT. The past month or so has been spent finishing the 8 small windows for the cabin trunk. They are ready to be installed now. I have 2 big projects coming this summer, 1 is to finish sanding the hull fiberglass lay-up and the other is to glass the decks and the trunk cabin. Wish me luck....
