  1. Next time I'm at the bookstore I'll check it out!  Bogs, I agree with you - I love anything to do with wooden boats and boatbuilding.  Not that I have anything against more modern materials but my "passion" is for wood...   Here, I will be the stimulus for you Bogs -  Get your butt in gear and get that canoe seat done.  I want to see pictures of it!   Another few weeks and the temps will be warm enough for getting back to boatbuilding.  I love winter but this seems as if it has dragged on for ever...   Andy

  6. Bogs, checked out your home page - Very Nice Job, I will check back there often.  The seat looks like a fine job, very similar to the one I built, your's looks nicer though .   After you suggested it, I did type mine in - very weird experience!!!!   Our weather is finally warming up and I have the whole weekend off - hoping to get out in the shop for some boat work...   Andy

  7. Hi Andy thankyou for your kind words, My wifes away this weekend a girls trip to the Island of Colansay of the west coast of Scotland { a lovely Island with one road around it, one shop/post office and one hotel/pub. } So I am baby hitting I mean sitting the boys so no boat work for me ! We have a saying if "March goes in like a lion then out like a lamb" and vice versa and we've had a cold wet windy start so expecting a good end to March. Bogsdolics.

  8. We say the same over here and looks like we are headed for the same result... Hope so anyway.  I ended up just looking at the boat instead of actually working on it.  It wasn't all in vain as I did start clearing some of the accumulating "junk" out of the garage/shop so that I can at least get at my 16 footer.  My wife had to work all weekend so I had some house chores to do also...  Don't I sound henpecked!! lol   Last night I made dinner and we relaxed in front of the tv.  I will  justify no hard work on the boat as the weather is still a little too cold to do woodworking in the shop.   Another week and we will see...   Andy
