Book Reviews

You know,

We have not had a new book review in a while. Anybody want to write one? Whats the most recent on topic book you've purchased? Was it good? Want to share your opinion with others?

AM I ALONE

Kruez,

What has happened to your group? I hope every one didn't jump ship. Whay are you up to this summer? We are just about ready to start fiberglassing the outside of the hull. Interior work continues when I have some free time from the hull preping.

PHOTO UPDATE

I just up loaded the latest pictures of JEZEBEL in the Photo Album section. They are the last 12 on the last page. No. 258 thru 264 are kinda a step by step of laminating the last piece (THE CLOSURE PLANK) sorta of. That makes 472 sheets of plywood in the finished hull. We are preparing to fiberglass the upper part of the hull in mid to late July.Any volunteer's? Hope every body is still alive, the news from this group has been pretty quite.

MICRO BALLONS

I am considering buying a 30# bag of micro ballons (the redish brown bulking agent). The cost is about $400.00. Even on my project that is to much. I can use about half of the material. Any one out there that would like to share in the remaining 15#? I could bag it to suit now ever many people want some. Let me know if there is any interest. For reference, a 5quart tub from Jamestown cost 40.00 and weighs just over a pound.

PHOTO UPDATE - PROBLEM

I just uploaded 2 new pictures to the JEZEBEL photo album that shows some recent progress and a lot of work.
Now the problem, I am having a lot of trouble aligning the shaft and struts. The 2 struts were made with about a 3/16" clearance to the hull to be able to align them and then will be beded with an epoxy filler. Does any one know a good way to get every thing aligned perfectly? The primary strut is just forward of the props and the intermediate strut is about in the middle between the engine and the props. The total shaft length is about 9'. Please advise.
