Tugboat Progress

My first 2-part poly paint. This is the first coat. It's even shinier now with 3 coats ;-)

Some random recent pictures, taken over the past few months. I'm aiming for a launch in November, but who knows? I'm now 14 months past my initial launch date estimate! It's been really fun, but a lot harder and more expensive than I expected.

  1. Hey Tom,
Your tug really looks great. You gota love that shine. Do you have any more pictures during the construction period? Would love to see them.

  5. Bogs, I'm really torn about coming to the end of the project. My whole life for almost 3 years has revolved around the work - planning, buying supplies, building. It will be a jolt when that's not available. On the other hand, my wife's patience, and my neighbors nerves are reaching the end.

I'm also dying to be out on the Sound in it! I do love boating. We're planning on a week-long trip up to the Gulf Islands next summer and a whole bunch of weekend trips before then.
