There is also some 5mm or .200 material available in Luan.

Normal face plies include fir, southern yellow pine, birch,
    oak, and mahogany.

Usage grades are interior, exterior and marine.

Face grades include AC, AB, and BC.

  2. Your questions have lots of answers!   Narrow it down a little for us: Where do you live? Are you referring to marine grade plywood?   Typical size is 4' x 8' but some places sell longer sheets. Species: just about any you want but it depends on where you live.   Matt JEM Watercraft http://www.jemwatercraft.com

  3. JOZ ,   Finally got the rest of the info you requested.   From Dave Gerr's book "The Nature Of Boats" the following weights apply to most plywood and soft woods such as fir, pine, and mahogany.   weight per cu. ft. = 32# 1/4" thickness = .67#/sq. ft. 1/2" thickness = 1.33#/sq.ft. 3/4" thickness = 2.00#/sq. ft. 1" thickness = 2.67#/sq. ft.   If you get into hard woods such as teak the weight per cu. ft. = 45#   Hope this info answers your questions.   CB
